The Minnesota Lynx are missing a big part of their team this season, both literally and figuratively. Center Vanessa Hayden is lost for the team this season due to her pregnancy and the arrival of her daughter, Zyon Brianna, on June 3. Head Coach Don Zierden, who has been a basketball coach for over 20 years, said on Media Day, “This is the first time I’ve lost a player due to pregnancy…there is a big difference between the NBA and the WNBA.”
